The 'McKinley Case'

On March 3rd I decided to check out a suspicious controversy getting press in the neighborhood next to my own, or at least before I lost my house to foreclosure a year ago - a so called 'Community Conversation' regarding the Eloise Cooking Pot Food Bank. Boy, was I in for a case of the worst of government employee backed NIMBYism I've ever seen.

Here's the KOMO local news story

I ended up being forcibly ejected from the meeting without cause, save standing up to what Tacoma Comic Artist RR Anderson said was a 'Bullshit Meeting'.

I've been researching this general problem, and thankfully had the right response close at hand, in my 'Toolbox', a little used court rule which allows a citizen to file misdemeanor criminal complaints.

John Hathaway's 'Takhoman' article writes up the complaint.

We're scheduled for a court hearing for the Judge's signature tomorrow, Thursday March 24th in Tacoma Municipal Court at 1:30 in the courtroom of Presiding Judge David Ladenberg, room 235 of the County/City Building.

Wish me luck!
