Obama's High Speed Rail in the Northwest -
All Aboard Washington Newsletter

Long time Transit expert Mike Skehan outlines high speed rail choices and makes the case for the incremental version in a March 9 release from a statewide rail advocacy organization. Skehan makes a strong argument for the incremental version of high speed rail here over maglev and other next generation technologies, noting we are well along that incremental path - including the purchase of the 125 mph Talgo trains, Point Defiance Bypass, etc.

FWIW, I do believe it is time to start talking about maglev, including planning for right of way, but we will most likely not pioneer the US implementation of the technology in the Pacific NW.
