Bikes and Beer mix well on Jeff Hammett's Durango based blog - also center of some of Colorado's best bicycling events.
There is tons of great bike energy here in Durango - not to mention some great routes including the Animas River Trail and the Mountain Bike trails from the ridgetop College, Fort Lewis (aka Fort Leisure), to the riverside downtown.
One interesting idea I heard while here was the opening of bike paths to smaller electric vehicles (golf carts and smaller?) - interesting idea, espesh with a speed limit of 25 MPH or so... FWIW compatible gradient 'engineering' would also be a plus.
