The Eastern Washington Spokesman Review, out of Spokane, has a great editorial on the current status of public records laws in Western Washington's Olympia, the State Capitol. (at the southernmost end of Puget Sound). The observations of both the Governor, and the Legislature merit notice. For what it's worth, the Spokesman's coverage of legislative sessions is pretty good too.
