Bellevue Light Rail Corridor -
Eastside Business Journal

The City Council of Bellevue has selected a preferred route for Sound Transit Light Rail to go through their City.

Most notably this includes a tunnel through downtown, an estimated $700 million cost NOT included in allocated Sound Transit funding. Personally, I am hopeful that the City of Bellevue will show some regional leadership by taking on that burden themselves and NOT falling to Seattle's level of bully consensus politics.

One suggestion - make sure this corridor can run both buses and light rail - same specs as the Downtown Seattle bus tunnel.
