It's Okay for Some People to Violate Financial Laws -
Tacoma/Pierce County Tribune

The News Tribune showed some rather curious practices in covering a violation of State law in the Pierce County Assessor's office, urging the ignorance of state laws protecting the citizens of Pierce County with an argument that suggests these citizens aren't even human.

Condemnation of this story was quick and universal. The response of this corporate beast? Republish the story sans the comments, at total of at least 3 times!

See here, here, and the latest, here.

The recently elected holder of this office, Dale Washam, is seeking to change these practices. Mr. Washam has previously be called a gadfly, etc - an unfortunately typical allegation around this sort of legal/financial malfeasance.
